Total value of ₹ 1 coins = 1*2x = 2x
Total value of 50 paise coins = (50/100)*3x = 3x/2
Total value of 25 paise coins = (25/100)*4x = 4x/4x = x
Since the total in the box is ₹180. then -
2x+(3x/2)+ x = 180
(4x+3x+2x)/2 = 180
9x = 180*2
9x = 360
x = 40
Hence, number of 50 paise coins = 3x = 3*40 = 120
So the correct answer is option B.
