India Post GDS Eligibility Criteria 2021

Education Qualification: 

(i) The Candidate should pass Class 10th with Mathematics and English as compulsory or elective subjects.

(ii) The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to the 10th standard [as compulsory or elective subjects] as declared by the State Government.

Basic Computer Training 

The candidates for all approved categories of GDS referred to in (i) above will be required to furnish a Basic Computer Training Course Certificate of at least 60 days duration from any Computer Training Institute run by Central Government/State Government /Universities / Boards / Private Institutions Organizations.

  • The selection of the candidates will be completely based on the merit list prepared on the marks obtained in class 10th.
  • In case of the same marks obtained by the candidates, then the selection will be based on DOB (higher age as merit), ST female, SC female, OBC female, UR female, ST Male, SC Male, OBC male, UR male.

India Post GDS Salary 2021:

Here we are giving information about the new salary (per month) structure of India Post GDS after the increment. The Gramin Dak Sevaks are offered salaries in the form of Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA). Minimum TRCA or salary payable to these three categories of GDS after the 7th Pay Commission are:

  • The maximum salary enjoyed by BPM for 4 hours of service could be Rs 29,380 and 5 Hours could be Rs 35,480.
  • The maximum salary enjoyed by ABPM & Dak Sevak for 4 hours of service could be Rs 24,470 and for 5 Hours could be Rs 29,480. 

How to Apply for India Post GDS Recruitment 2021

1st Step: First go to the official website of India Post to apply i.e. appost.in.

2nd Step: Click on the “Registration” link and enter details like name, mobile number, gender, date of birth, category, etc.

3rd Step: After registration, candidates will receive the OTP on their registered mobile number.

4th Step: Enter the OTP. A unique registration number will be generated. Note down the registration number for future logins.

5th Step: Pay the India Post application fee.

6th Step: Fill the application form, upload documents like educational certificates, photos, signatures, etc.

7th Step: Select your ‘Post Preferences’. Recheck the details entered and submit the application.

8th Step: Take the printout of the India Post Application Form for future reference.
