Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme:

Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Officer Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) notification 2021 will be released in November 2020 for the session of July 2021. Indian Navy organizes a 10+2 B.Tech recruitment process twice annually, for January and July sessions.

Applications are invited from UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a four-year degree course under the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy BTech Entry Scheme:

Educational Qualification: 

  • Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).
  • Along with above mentioned essential qualifications, candidates also have qualified JEE (Main) 2020 exam. Call letters for SSB (service selection board) interview will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) 2020 AIR (all-India rank).

Age Limit:

  • Born Between: 02/01/2002 to 01/07/2004
  • Minimum: 17 Years
  • Maximum:19 ½ Years

Marital Status: Candidate must be an unmarried male fulfilling the conditions of Nationality as per the Govt. of India.

Who can Apply:

Candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) -2020 (for B.E./ B.Tech) exam. Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) – 2020 All India Rank.

Selection Process of Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Entry:

  • IHQ of MoD reserves the right to fix cut off for shortlisting the application for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Rank –2020.
  • There will be an SSB for shortlisted candidates.
  • The authority will conduct the SSB interview at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam from July – October 2021.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their E-mail or through SMS.
  • SSB interview will be of two Stages.
  • Stage I test consists of the Intelligence test, Picture Perception test, and Group Discussion.
  • Stage II test comprises Psychological testing, Group testing, and Interview which will last for 04 days.
  • Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day.
  • Successful candidates will thereafter undergo a Medical Exam.
  • Change of SSB venue for interview is not permissible.

Interview Process for Indian Navy BTech Entry Scheme :

SSB Interview procedure for Join Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Entry Through JEE Main 2020 is given below.

  • Candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB through E-mail or SMS.
  • SSB Interview will be conducted in two stages-

Stage I– It will consist of Intelligence Test, Picture Perfection Test, and Group Discussion. Candidates who failed on stage I will not be allowed to appear in Stage II of SSB and will be sent back home the same day.

Stage II– It will consist of Psychological Testing, Group Testing, and Interview. Candidates who qualify Stage II of SSB will go through Medical Examination after the release of the Result of the Interview.

TRAINING:

  1. The training is scheduled to commence in July 2021.
  2. Medically fit and SSB recommended applicants will get admission to the INA (Indian Naval Academy) Ezhimala, Kerala for training. On the basis of SSB marks, all India merit list will be prepared by the SSB.
  3. Finally selected applicants will be introduced as cadets for 4-year B.Tech. program in Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Electrical Branch), Mechanical Engineering (for Engineering Branch including Naval Architect specialization), or applied Electronics & Communication Engineering (for Executive Branch) as per Navy requirements.
  4. On completion of the course, a cadet will be awarded a B. Tech Degree recognized by one of the most prestigious universities in India, the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

Physical Standard Indian Navy BTech Entry Scheme:

  • Height: The Minimum height should be 157 cms with correlated weight as per age

  • EyeSight: The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision is 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses; should not be color/night blind
  • Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on the inner face of forearms.

Medical Standard Indian Navy BTech Entry Scheme:

  1. All candidates recommended by SSB will have to undergo medicals as per extant regulations. There is no relaxation in medical standards on any ground. Guidelines for physical standards are available on the Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.

Pay & Promotions Of 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme:

The promotion from Sub Lieutenant to Commander is on a time scale basis subject to completion of the mandatory course, sea time, and medical condition.
