A cube of edge 6 cm is painted on all faces of it. It is then cut into cubes of edge 1 cm. How many cubes have no faces painted?

एक 6 सेमी कोर वाले घन के सभी फलकों को रंग दिया गया है।  इसके बाद इसे 1 सेमी कोर वाले घनों में काट दिया गया है। कितने घन ऐसे है, जिनके कोई भी फलक रंगे नही है ?

Number of uncolored cubes =(n−2)^3
where n is the side of the larger cube.
Number of uncoloured cubes = (6-2)^3 = 4^3 = 64
Hence, there are 64 cubes in which none of their faces are colored.
So the correct answer is option B.

बिना रंगें वाले घनों की संख्या =(n−2)^3
जहां n बड़े घन की भुजा है।
बिना रंगें वाले घनों की संख्या = (6-2)^3 = 4^3 = 64
अतः 64 घन ऐसे है, जिनके कोई भी फलक रंगे नही है। 
इसलिए सही उत्तर विकल्प B है।
